Hike of Petrol Prices

So Malaysians are all grumbling because of the hike of petrol prices. While many are not so happy with it, I on the other hand thinks that the government did no wrong in rising the price. I think that they did right actually

Price of petrol have been increasing so much on the world market that if Petronas were to continue subsidising, we would die very soon.. Literally. I don't understand why people are protesting about the hike. Can't they see the big picture here? How long can the government subsidise?

People should use less petrol, save for future generation. There would be less cars on the road, which translate to less trafic jam, which translate to less fuel consumption due to no jam. Isn't it getting better already hearing my explanation? LOL.. but there are still lots of cars on the road.. which makes me wonder why are there so many protesters.. if protesters says hike is burning hole in their pocket, shouldn't they use other means of transportation? y so many cars? hurmzz...

maybe those who are on the roads are not those who protested huh? but.. if u do look properly, who are those protesting.. the really poor? or the not so poor? make u think twice doesn't it?

Of course.. although the government did right in raising the price of petrol, they did it without proper planning. Which is not so smart if u ask me. They should have planned beforehand how to decrease the burden of the people, and not annouce first, explain later. They came up with lots of promises, but only time will tell whether it is really coming through..

and another thing that i think the government should do is raise salary. Just as simple as this. If we need to spend more, it is only natural that we need to earn more. Unfortunately, everything is going up except for Malaysian's salary huh... stagnant.

Also.. Public transport.. they should pump in a lot more money into it to make it reliable and efficient. So that the public would like to ride it. But anyway.. there have been lots of articles sent in by people to the newspapers on how the government should improve the public transport.. so i shall not talk further..

God Bless~
