Why do men stray?

Oh today i read the newspaper and there is this article which talks about men straying, their signs of infidelity and why do they stray.. i would just concentrate on why men stray..

There have been many reasons on why men stray.... and more often that not, the fault is placed on the women, for example, does not treat him well enough, cannot bear kids, etc. etc. such poor women, always getting blame when sometimes (or most of the times) it is not their fault..

But now, it seems that scientists have found another reason why men stray... and this reason is backed by scientific evidence, based on biology.. SOOOO COOOOOOLLLL!!!

According to a recent report, a new discovery has linked a man’s philandering to a gene in his DNA. Conducted by Swedish researchers, the study looked at 550 twins and their partners who had been together for five or more years. The men who carried one or two copies of a gene variant called “allele 334” were twice as likely to have had problems with their wives or in making commitments in relationships in the past year than those who do not have it." (Kam, 2008 p.1)

Now, is this finding cool or is this finding cool? But i guess it needs to be elaborated a little bit more. Men with allele 334 are only more PRONE to straying, and it does not mean those with it will DEFINITELY stray... comes back to nature nurture. and men who have allele 334 stray not because they are more lusty, but rather they could not feel a strong bond between him and the partner.

The incidence of allele 334 was statistically linked to how strong a bond a man felt he had with his partner,” lead researcher Hasse Walum said. (Walum, cited in Kam, 2008)

Hmm.. interesting findings no? hahahaha.. i can sense that all the females are cringing looking at this post.. but oh well, it's just a finding.. i still believe that nurture plays a big role... but if u want to be on the safe side and really belief in this, take your men to do DNA test. XD

In the end, with or without this finding, men (and women) would stray simply because they can

God Bless

T cube

T cube = Terence, Trekathon, Tired

11 Oct 08

So i went for trekathon today... have been wanting to join 1 for quite some time, but then always didn't manage to.. this year, got chance, but a bit reluctant to go.. however, i still ended up going for it..

woke up at 6 to get ready, and my friend's friend fetch me to college... reach college at about 7.05. i called ying zhou, and when he finally picked up his phone, he haven't woke up yet... my call woke him up.. his reaction quite funny "i rush there now" sounding so gan cheong..

haven't had my breakfast, so went to McD to buy breakfast.. makan breakfast, chat chat, wait for bus... and finally board on the bus and we are on our way to Bukit Gasing, where we will be running to the top of the hill.

register, got ready, do some warm ups and we were being flagged off... girls and guys are seperated because accordingly "when guys run, they don't care.. it's for the safety of the girls" :) so we ran first, and all the guys rush to the trail... i was kinda in front at the start, but not really front also la.. ran uphill, downhill, cross bridge, went uphill again, doooooooooooooooown hill, come to a stream.. tried to not get my shoes wet, but failed... shoes are completely wet... went up stream, and then go all the waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy up.... yes.. the way up at the end is sickening.. SICKENING!!!

forced myself up there on will power, seriously so tempted to sit and rest, but just keep on going... leg already tired from friday's training, now running uphill somemore.. sei mo.. after going uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupppppppppppppppppp finally reach the end.. got my number.. i came in 13th place... ok la.. at least in top 20.. top 20 got contribute marks to department.. so at least i got contribution right? hahaha

reach already, feel like vomiting, pissing and just feel that i need to rest.. but when sit down, very uneasy.. after a while, 20 minutes maybe.. the uneasiness went off... just beside the exit trail is Mr. Chan's house.. dang big lo.. the brunch is served there, and then it's prize giving..

the points for each department is read out... until the last 2 departments which is econs and bpsych... they all started chanting "econs, econs"... we all started chanting "bpsych, bpsych, bpsych" louder than them... lol.... then it is announced... "econs, 30 points" *clap clap* "bpsych....." then someone from bpsych shouted "31 points" ahahaha..

"bpsych.... 33 points" WOOO HOOO!!! we are the overall champion.. muahahaha... *clap clap*... take photo together gether.. then they got give prize to department with most participants.. econs won 1st placing for that with.. 67 participants if i not mistaken.. and bpsych comes second, with 61 participants i think..

then balik rumah... and yeah.. T cube
