Why do i like my home?

yesterday when i was watching tv, i came across a beautifully crafted advertisement.. sooo good is the ad that i remembered it just by looking at it once.. this ad was made by Petronas(they always make good ads) in conjungtion with our 50th Independence Day.

the ad started by a malay boy in front of the camera and saying

"why do i like my home?"

and he says

"i like my home cause..... i have my mum who cooks good food"
after he said that, pictures of people who are starving were shown.. people who have little food and were lining up to get them were shown.. then it goes back to the same boy

"why do i like my home? cause i have a big bed that is comfortable.. even my mummy says she likes it"

pictures of people who don't have bed are seen laying together just on the floor or on a mat..

"why do i like my home? cause it's safe and secure"

pictures of houses which were devastated by earth quakes and tsunamis were shown..

"why do i like my home? i don't know.. i just like it.. what type of question is that???"

hahaha.. so cute..

how often do we take things for granted?? our shelter, our cloths, the water we have, even the air we breath.. we take for granted so many things in our lives that we sometimes forget to treasure and appreciate these gifts that we have.. only when we lose some of these things do we know how precious it is..

Treasure the things that you have.. the very fact that u are looking at my blog now indicates that you are soo much more blessed than lots of other people..

the link above is the ad.. it is in Bahasa Malaysia, and it is sorta different from the english version i saw.. but nevertheless give it a look..

i will try and look up for the english version..
