Selfishness

I am a very selfish person.. or at least that is what i think of myself..

i always do things thinking from my own perspective and i do things for my own advantage.. talk about egocentrism ya... hahaha

think about it ya.. when was the last time me and you go to the old folks home? or the orphanages? or any homes of the under-privilaged just to help out?

i've been once to old-folks home.. but that's because of my moral project.. and another time to orphanages, because of my LAN project... so if it weren't for these projects, i think i would have never stepped my feet inside..

for my LAN project, we were to find someplace where we can write about national integration.. so me and my friend, Yi Ling went around finding orphanages that offer a variety of races under 1 roof. we went to a couple of places.. and one incident struck me most

we stopped by this particular orphanage home, and this indian boy came and open up the door..

so we asked "sabtu ada buka ka?"
and he answered "ada.. kenapa? mau buat projek ka?"

i was dumb founded.. literally.. i don't know what to say, but that was the truth.... if it weren't for the project, i would not have winded myself there...

after a while.. i said "ya, buat projek"... it sucks.. but it's true.. i don't do much or care much about so many of these underprivilaged people..

the thing that i do for them is pray for them, and give donations at church..

St. Anne

Yesterday, me and both of my sisters went to Penang for feast of St. Anne. well.. not actually go for the feast day itself, but go there in conjungtion of St. Anne's feast day. we went to stay overnight at my uncle's house on friday at sungai long and started out journey on saturday morning, which is yesterday morning.

following my uncle's car, we arrived there at aroud 1 something at we ate lunch there.. i ate a plate of wantan mee cause i was still full with my 2 roti planta breakfast.. hehe.. then we went to St. Anne's church, and that place is beautiful and big..

walked and prayed there for about an hour or so... took some photos also.. i also bought a book on relationship.. then went to hotel lor.. stayed at cititel on penang island. you have no idea how long it took us to uncover cititel.. stupid penang road.. hahaha

then bath and then went to eat dinner.. took another hour to be able to find a place to eat dinner.. reason being... stupid penang roads again.. hahaha.. a two lane road becomes a one lane road because people side parking.. it's raining and everywhere we went, there are no place for parking...

so went up batu feringgi to eat.. and yeah.. it is a blessing.. let's see... what did i ate there? i ate a plate of fried rice, some satays, some char kuey tiew, pizza, bits of prawn noodles and all of them were good.. but but but.. the best of all is non other than fried bee tai bak

HUH?? what's that? don't freak out.. i actually don't know what is that too. at first.. haha.. i just ordered it and it is erm... fried 'lou shu fan'. and IT'S GOOD!!!!!!!! forgot to take the pictures of all the foods there..

after that got go walk walk around there, something like a night market... and what i bought? pirated DVD's.. it's dead cheap.. RM 4 per piece and the quality of the DVD is SUPERB.. it's really really really nice..

then went back hotel and watch tv before sleeping

this morning, got up and then went to eat breakfast... don't know what to eat liao.. everything also the same de for all the hawker stalls.. finally ordered a char kuey tiew.. eat some char kuey that my sis ordered also and something that seems like phutu mayam..

then come back kl lor.. on the way home, stopped by tapah and eat dunkin doughnuts.. then came back to sungai long and eat lunch.. that time about 3.30 already lor.. eat chicken rice.. hahaha in 2 days, eat so much of things.. fat liao lor..

she suddenly farted and embarrassed by her act, she looked around to make sure nobody was looking at her...

suddenly a car seller sprang up and ask

Finally the ass spoke up and said i should be the leader.

All the other body parts laughed at him(lets just consider the ass is a male ok.. not sexist) and think that why should he be the boss?

So the ass shut himself and does not want to pass out any shit. After a period of time, all the other body parts gave up and let the ass be the leader

One man was in the hospital and have been to the toilets for lots of time without being able to shit.. all of them were false alarm. so he decided that the next time nature calls, he won't go to the toilet...

true enough, nature calls and he didn't went to the toilet.. but this time, it's for real and he shitted(i don't know whether or not this word exist) on his bed. panicked, he wrapped his bed sheet and threw it down the window...

below, a man was walking and the bed sheet fell on his head... he struggled to get himself out of the bedsheet and a hospital attendant seeing this, went to him and asked

attendant: Sir, what are you doing sir?
Sir: I think i just beat the shit out of a ghost.

Today I went to Popular bookshop and caught myself reading the book "SHIT. It Happens"

it is interesting to note that even a subject such as shit can be published and and and.. it's interesting to read too.. hahaha

i don't read much, but if that book is good enough to capture my attention, IT'S GOOD. inside there are lots of facts about shit. like how the name shit came to be.. but it's long la huh..

me don't really remember much about the history of shits.. but i remember some of the shit jokes.. which is why you would see the up coming posts are about shit jokes.. hahaha

Bitterness

During my childhood, i tried to drink coffee and tea.. because everyone around me was telling me that it was good.. so i did try..

but the outcome was not as pleasant for me.. both coffee and tea were bitter for me at that time. as time passes, i began to drink chinese tea.. only chinese tea.. coffee and english tea like Boh or Lipton was still a no no for me.. haha

i worked for the last three days, and one of my friend was promoting her company's beverages.. sells coffee and tea. so i tooked a packet of white coffee as my friends say it's REALLY good.. so i took 1 home lo.. i took the packet during the first day of work..

second day of work, got up and drink the coffee.. still bitter to me.. but it's not as bad as lastime. strange.. last time i don't like chinese tea too cause it tasted bitter.. now i like it, and coffee doesn't taste as bitter as it was.

last day of my work, which is yesterday, my friend gave me a sample of 'teh tarik'. reluctant at first, but i took a sip.. to my amazement, it IS good. it's...... sweet.. haha.. so now my tastebuds have changed? i don't know.. but i remember watching this chinese show.. and it's a dialougue between 2 doctors.

*Doctor A is sitting down eating his bowl of rice with bittergourd. Doctor B comes and talk to doctor A*

Doctor A : It's strange you know. Last time I hate eating bittergourd. Because when i tasted it, it seemed SO bitter. But now when I taste back, it's not as bitter as what it used to be.

Doctor B: Know what? It is said that human's life is divided into 2 stages. And once you start to eat bittergourd, it means that half of your life which is full of bitterness is already over. The reason behind this theory is because you have gone through much more bitter experiences and now the bittergourd does not taste as bitter as compared to your experiences.

hurmm.. does that mean that i have gone through bitter experices? of course i did la huh.. but how bitter? i don't know.. i haven't tried eating bittergourd yet.. hahaha.. but.. it shows that i am growing in some extent..

coffee and tea don't taste that bad after all do they?

First day of work

Today is my official first day of work.. experienced many first things in my life.. This day marks the 8th Malaysian Food and Beverages Trade Fair.. so there were many food booths and my booth sells biscuit.. hehe

then first time work lo.. then first time stand for soooooo long also.. from 10 till 6.30. stand for 8 and a half hours.. wow.. really first time..

lunch and break time is the best la.. hehe... cause can go around the booths and eat soo many different stuffs.. first time walk aorund and eat so many stuffs..

got eat barbequed chicken, fried chicken, fried sausages, nuggets, fried prawns, fried squid, instant noodles, ais-cream, kuih bakar, beef balls, keropok daging (meat crakers.. real meat woo.. can u believe that??), currypuff, fish burger, chicken burger, blackpepper meat balls, vegetarian tou fu, vegetarian sausages, vegetarian chicken rendang, honeycomb cookies, tuna puffs, pizza, cake.. yum yum... hahaha.. save money on my lunch.. AWESOME BABY!!!!!

oh oh.. that's not all i ate, of course i ate my company's biscuit also lo... got fruit cake, pineapple biscuit, milk biscuit and chocolote biscuit.. hehehe.. let's see.. how many types of food already arr..?? 26... record la seriously.. hehehe

but i haven't tasted all the foods available yet.. tomorrow go eat their satay.. mwehehe.. and take micky's lunch and eat. XD

ok la.. leg tired lo.. rest rest leg..

Pursuit of Happyness

I know.. I know.. I spelt happiness the wrong way... but it's on purpose ok..

today i watched The Pursuit of Happiness.. acted by Will Smith as Mr. Gadner.

Mr. Gadner's life is full of struggle. he had a wife, but then the wife left him because he is financial difficulties. REAL financial difficulties where he don't even have money to pay for his parking summons. he didn't even pay the taxes.. and so the government went into his bank account and just took his money... he can be said to be broke.

He also have a son.. so his son struggled with him.. he sent his son to pre-school and on the wall of the pre-school, is where the word HAPPYNESS is painted.

some of the phrases he said to his son caught my attention.. he said

DON'T LET ANYONE SAID YOU CANNOT DO SOMETHING.

IF YOU WANT SOMETHING, GO GET IT. PERIOD.

he then met a stock broker and then he aspire to be one.. he went for the interview.. but the day before his interview, he was caught by the police because he did not pay his parking ticket.. and right after that, he ran from the police station to the company...

still in his attire from last night because of the lack of time.. he went in, and the interviewer asked him

"if u were me, and u see a guy walking in here without proper dress, and u hire him... what would you tell the people?"

and he answered "He must have had a really nice pants."

today in church, my parish priest was about to leave and he was asked to give some words of wisdom. he said

Holiday

Holiday liao lo.. what can i say le?? nothing special for me cause study week i already consider as holiday.. haha.. playing o2jam and DotA while the others are studying.. champion man.. oh oh.. but evie more champion.. sick when exam.. XD XD

hopefully this holiday won't be too bored and can earn some pocket money.. hehe..

Just Love

Yesterday was the last episode of Just Love, a chinese serial drama show. Of course, as the name sounds, got lots of lovey dovey stuffs la.. but before i go there, i would want to talk about something else first..

Would you love someone who has hurt u? would you still love someone who had done so many bad things to you? not so possible isn't it? you and me would probably curse them and wish them dead instead.. ok la.. not that extreme until wish for their death, but u get the picture.. when someone i dislike fall down, i think i would be happy and say 'dai sei' (cantonese for he/she deserves it)

but what does love challenge us to do? what does Jesus challenge us to do?

Love one another as I have loved you

Jesus kept loving us till his death.. He even prayed for those who persecute them by saying "forgive them Father, for they know not what they do."

that is real love.. to love even though people hate and persecute us.. but it is soooooooo not easy.. not just not easy.. it's down right HARD.

would you not bear grudges against someone who had bullied u? Would you not have hard feelings if your spouse were to abuse u and hit u? but think of it a bit deeper.. why would they ever do that? maybe the bullier is bullied at home and he learnt it from his parents.. maybe your spouse had a bad day at work and in his anger, he abused you....

Some might argue that for whatever reason, it is not right for one to hurt another... of course that's right.. that's why we have the law.. if everyone could hit everyone else when they are angry, then what would happen right??

but that's not the point.. the point is can we still love them despite all these suffering? can we see our limitations as humans, acknowledge it, see beyond it and finally love them back? of course we can.. we are great creatures created in the image of God that is capable of doing almost anything..

this is the greatest love anyone oculd acquire... and this type of love is called Agape.

back to the show.. the show potrays a lot of guy-girl relationship.. and this type of love is called Eros.. the main couple in the movie had a tough time together... they got together and married, divorced, fight for the right to take care of their son in court and finally got back together.. the show thought me 2 things

1. one would need to sacrifice a lot to maintain the relationship.. and love cannot be forced.

2. loving someone doesn't equate to living together.. it would be enough if you could do something for that love one.
