These few days, specifically from Tuesday till today, Thursday (29.11.2007)... in these few days, i have learnt a lot of things from the Advent retreat organized by my church.

It actually started on Monday, but i didn't went for it because i was lazy cum so-called-busy. :p but then my dad came back and said it was good and sorta 'persuade' me to go for it.. so i went on Tuesday and i continued until today, the final day of the retreat.

There are many things which i have learnt there that i can put into practice immediately and the talk was really really good and i want to share with all of u guys a story. A story about a pencil

The pencil, after being made was on it's way to be put inside the box. And the maker of the pencil told the pencil

1) In the future, you would do great things, things that you cannot imagine doing. But you can only do these great things only if you let yourself to be held in your owner's hand.

2)From time to time, you will feel a sharpening pain, but that is essential for you to become a better pencil.

3)Remember, what is important, is your inside and not your outside.

After being told this things, the pencil was put inside the box. And that is the whole moral of the story..

We as humans can do great things, things that we can never imagine doing, but only if we allow to be held in God's hand

From time to time, we will definitely face obstacles and challenges and that is essential in our growth. This is where our sharpening pain comes in, in order for us to be a better person and be more matured.

And remember, God looks at the inside of a person and not the outside. We can go to church, or temple or any religious place everyday, but that does not mean we are pious or good people. Being good means we help people around us, being good means not laboring hatred to one another. Being good means we need to forgive. Being good means we need to LOVE..

and i know it is not easy to love the people around us, when we don't get love from them.. why should we love the people who doesn't love us? it doesn't make much sense does it? But remember this

JESUS LOVES YOU.. He loves all of us alike, both good and bad. Yes Yes, i know some people out there don't believe in Him, and this is sooooo a bias perception of mine, say it however you want to say it, but yeah.. He loves all of us..

And so when we don't get love from the world, and find it hard to love, turn to Him and you will find love.

Even if you don't understand what i am trying to say here, remember the story of the pencil.

Laughing Kung Fu

Oh.. i have devised a new Kung Fu which i dubbed as Terence Mean Laughing Kung Fu..

as the name says it, my laughing is very mean and it kinda conveys that 'i am belittle-ing you and that is soo impossible to happen'

it kinda works normally with Evie.. hahaha.. and she got most of my laughing kung fu la.. poor her..

Innocence

Today i encountered something really cute.. since i long time didn't go cycling already, i decided to go for a spin this evening..

Long time didn't cycle, bicycle no air already la.. so went to the nearest gas station to pam air.. but then the pam rosak la.. i meant it is spoilt. so decided to go over to the bicycle shop to put some gas into my tyre.. but then, the shop not open.. =.=;

so went to the second nearest gas station and the gas machine works.. so got my bicycle pumped and then my journey starts.

I went cycling around my 'taman' and then i stopped at one of the field to get reflexology.. there were 2 boys there with their grandfather i suppose.. and after i finish torturing my feet by walking on the stones, i continued my journey

but but but.. before i got onto my bicycle, the 2 boys earlier... they... they.. they.. they... they...

they urinated in public, in the middle of the field, watering the plants with their natural fertilizer... and i was like o.O??? to O.O...

hahaha.. i couldn't remember the last time i did that.. memories are sooo easily forgotten.. :p

but their innocence are sooo admirable la.. if i were able to do that now, hmm.. i wonder how would the people around me reacted.. maybe like jaw drop to the ground and bounces back??

As i have mentioned in my earlier blog, (like 2 minutes ago) i have quite a number of nephews and nieces.. hehe.. i am an official 'uncle' XD

Well if u have real bad eyes, you probably haven't notice that Donna does not look local.. and yes.. she is not.. she is of mix blood.. that's what is so special about her.. lalala~

There was once when i was playing with Donna, and we were teasing each other.. *it's really dumb.. and i shall spare you the details*

but after some teasing, she said "you shen ching ping" (means you mentally retard or something along that line la)

i was like wert?? where did u learn that from.. speechless.. hahahaha.. but the way she pronouced it is sooo cute, and yet the pronounciation is not off.. unlike KM's version of mandarin... XD

Marriage

My cousin got married yesterday.. I have always love to go for wedding masses (relatives ones :p), because the joy and excitement is just there... love is in the air..

makes me feel that this world is not as cold as it seems afterall.. *how could marriages be cold right??*

i love it when the priest ask the question

" name, do you take name to be your husband/wife? Do you promise to be true to him/her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love him/her and honor him/her all the days of your life?"

i love it even more when they say "i do" (well so far i haven't encounter the answer "i do not" but that would be soooo dramatic.. i would prefer the "i do" :p)

maybe those words are just customary, but do we sit down and think of the meanings of those words? how powerful and how meaningful those words are...

would you really be able to do that all the days of your life??? it's not simple you know.. at the moment of marriage, it might seem really simple because you are SOOO in love... but think of it a little deeper, and you would realise that it is not as simple as it sounds..

anyway.. i got the pictures of the bride and the bridegroom.. yay!!

Kind Hearted Malaysians

Tons of things to blog today.. but cannot finish by now because I am going to go play ball soon... mwehehe...

so i would start off with my experience a few days ago when my dad was fetching me to college.

my dad didn't really close his car door tight, and an Indian man who was driving a lorry honned him.. and made him realise that his door isn't shut tight..

this encounter showed me that Malaysian is indeed a caring lot.. even from different races, and even if they don't know you..

despite the stupid politicians, despite the fight for own race's benefits, i am still proud to be a Malaysian simply because the people here are kind and are willing to lend a helping hand... high with gemeinshaftsgefuhl.. of however u spelt it (lazy to check la.. :p)

talking about Malaysia, i went to batu pahat these 2 days, and i am glad to see tanah merah.. (it's erm... red soil)

in kl.. i think it would be very hard to find tanah merah, and seeing that makes me nostalgic about my life. nostalgic about the life of Malaysia as well, i might be too young to say that.. but yeah i do feel that..

it's very easy to differentiate between KL and non KL.. for one, in KL, just look up the sky and u can see tons of skyscaper.. and our 'beloved' KLCC

however, in melacca (i went there too) and Batu pahat, when u look up, what u see is the trees and blue sky without any obstruction from skysrapers.. and that made me feel good about being there..

While we are all striving and chasing for improvement, let us not forget that what we have comes from earth, and don't abuse mother nature for the sake of our greed.

Lamo

OH.. today all of us are at our max level for being LAME!!!

so lame was i that Evie asked me whether it is the time of the month.. =.=;

but all other also lame ok.. especially Shyuan... *jian.. ding.. finger comes up* =.=;

After class today, we kidnapped Jian and brought him somewhere to eat.. before went in the restaurant, some smart people decided to wrap his head until like little red riding hood..

really lor.. i didn't see the logic behind this.. but anyway.. that's that.

oh my goodness.. when we went in the restaurant that time.. everyone.. and i mean EVERYONE was looking at us one kind...

because Jian was blindfolded, 'handcuffed' and well, wrapped like little red riding hood. real real EMBARASSING man... the reactions of the people there are like... wert??

petrified for a few second.. they went to lala land to check whether or not they are in reality.. i can still remember their faces when we went in.. the aunty who was eating stopped eating totally and just looked at us with her mouth wide open...

even the waiter of the restaurant was like looking at us and.... laughing.. err... i shall describe his laugh as... 'very shocked-cum-dumb-cum-don't know what to react' laugh. aper aper sajalah..

ate porridge steamboat and got the pictures on evie's baby.. so will upload the photos next time *this is the bad thing when u don't have own camera.. what to do?? always have to say the same old thing "upload next time" *
