Social Psychologists

What do social psychologists do?

They do what normal psychologist do, try to investigate, predict then control humans' behavior, thinking and feeling.. but they also take into account the social surrounding, the environmental factor that might influence people.

A simple example to illustrate..

Suppose u sms someone, and that person didn't reply.. u called and that person didn't pick up youir call.. what do u think?

That person might be busy and didn't notice it, or he/she might not like you and purposely avoid you, or you might think that he/she is a arrogant person who don't want to reply you..

all in all.. it's that person's fault for not answering you or replying you..

suppose now u know his/her situation..

phone in silent mode, coincidently, when you called, he/she was out or in the toilet...

now.. it isn't totally that person's fault is it? this is what social psychologist do.. they take into account the social environment and attribute people's behavior to their social surroundings, to a certain extend la..
